Resumo:
The present study is an attempt to analise the
relation ship - between the movement of the bed forms and the
quantity of sediment transported. The analisisis based on
the equation of continuity for sediment motion.
With this o bjective, experiments were conducted
in a laboratory flume in order t o observe the movement of
the bed forms as wellas to directly measure the quantty of
sediments transported. The comparison of the results of analisis and measurement indicates that the calculation of the
quantity of sediment transported through the observation of
the movement of bed forms is quite satisfatory.
