Résumé:
What guided the preparation of this work was the desire to understand more
what are the perceptions awakened in the caregivers of children
hospitalized at the University Hospital Alcides Carneiro, in the city of Campina
Grande – PB, during the medical visit to the Pediatric Ward. to those
caregivers, a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview were applied to
from there, the discursive material was obtained and submitted to analysis. When to
analysis of said material, five categories stood out in terms of the visit
medical: Perceptions regarding: 1-Time of visit; 2-Attention given by the
physician to patients/caregivers; 3-Clarifications given about the
diagnosis and treatment of the patient; 4-Quality of such visits; 5-Suggestions
regarding the improvement of the quality of the visit. The work enabled us to demonstrate that,
although there are praises regarding the performance of the visiting pediatrician in the ward,
there are criticisms that, once heard, can improve the quality of the visit
clinic to the Pediatric Ward, with gains for the patient, for the caregiver, for the
professor-pediatrician and for the medical student.
