Resumo:
This article will show one of the important tools needed to examine stocks , but also to
identify products that warrant more attention , with no major losses which is the curve tool
ABC . This , in turn , has been used for inventory management , for setting sales policies ,
setting priorities for the planning of production and a host of other common issues in the
enterprise . This study was carried out in a service company the motorcycle industry with the
aim to verify how the ABC curve can help the inventory manager to analyze the conditions
and needs in relation to items that require greater consumption and financial value . The
methodology adopted was a case study , where the data were obtained from vsiga software
that controls the products stocked . Thus , it is concluded that the company complies with the
ABC tool and the division of items into classes , since the accumulated value as it diverges. In
parts of the curve ABC sought to balance the financial resources , analyzing inventory item
which needs to be supplied or maintained , ie , means order of priority.
