Résumé:
Due to the precarious conditions of management of biowaste in Brazil, elapse several problems that affect the health of the population, an example of this is the contamination of water, soil, air and the proliferation of pathogens, besides the quality of work life, whether physical or mental. The main source of contamination is improper handling of pathogenic microorganisms in teaching and research institutions. One reason to use waste management is to mitigate this contamination improving the quality of life of the whole population. Researchers, teachers, students and technicians are exposed to a variety of risks of industrial microbiology laboratory, being primarily of a biological nature. This takes
occurrence of inappropriate activities. According to bio-security standards these microorganisms must be handled in a different and appropriate manner. Facing the issue, the aim of this article is to analyze the management of biowaste in CDSA industrial microbiology laboratory.
