Resumo:
This paper addresses the work of social workers in health policy in facing the Covid-19 pandemic between 2020 and 2021. The study aims to discuss the professional work of social workers in health policy in facing the Covid-19 pandemic 19 in the context of the worsening dismantling of health policy. To do so, we discuss the metamorphoses in the world of work and their repercussions for the professional work of the social worker;
and changes in health policy in times of a pandemic; Also, as the technical guidelines prepared based on productions by the Federal Council of Social Service - CFESS - and by the Regional Councils of Social Service - CRESS - on the competences and attributions of social workers due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus - COVID-19, contributed to professional work. The methodology used has a qualitative approach, at
an exploratory and descriptive level, through a bibliographic survey. Having as main authors: Bravo (1998); CFESS (1993;2010); Antunes (2020); Matos (2020). The importance of the ethical-technical-political skills of the CFESS/CRESS set was perceived to support the professional category in the face of an atypical situation, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the relevance of professional work in that policy.
