Resumen:
The theme of Quality of Life (QWL) has been extensively studied and researched under
different approaches . The consensus among scholars of the subject, its subjective and
multifactorial. This study examined the quality of work life , with emphasis on worker motivation, the case study selected. The professional motivation often stems from
factors such as the coordination and leadership of manager, management systems,
working conditions, the expected wages, in addition to receiving good wages and the
appreciation of the person in the workplace. The aim of this study is to identify and
analyze the level of motivation of employees in a supermarket in Cariri Paraiba region
and suggest possible administrative guidelines to maintain and / or program actions that
can collaborate directly with work motivation and well- being of workers . We opted for
the method of the quantitative approach in descriptive exploratory survey using a
structured questionnaire adapted based model WALTON, where 66 % of respondents
were employees of the company. Through analysis and interpretation of results, we
intend to contribute to the formulation of actions in the area of management person of
the company, as well as signal the need for further follow-up studies on the subject,
aiming to improve the quality of life of employees . It is concluded from the results that
active in the rubber industry organizations have weaknesses in their strategies, showing
how it becomes necessary to understand, by the manager, needs and motivations that
contribute to the well being of its employees.
