Resumo:
In the context in which contemporary engineering projects have remained more and more efficient and productive, but added to this the obligation of efficiency, it is allowed that engineers carry out work with the aid of computational tools to be applied to the routine of them. This work deals with the creation of a routine for the Excel application developed by Microsoft that helps in the design of reinforcements that combat the punching effects resulting from the slab-
column interaction in flat slabs sistems. Options to consider or not the moment effects applied to the column-slab system were added to the routine, as well as the launch of prestressing efforts, this one latter that minimizes the effect of loads by reducing the amount of steel needed, allowing for a less expensive design. In addition, macro commands from Excel's VBA programming language were added to increase the tool's efficiency. At the end of the design, a possible detailing for the punching reinforcements is issued. The calculated results produced in this work were compatible with the values obtained manually according to the specifications of NBR 6118/2014. Keywords: Punching shear, prestessing
