Abstract:
Jurema preta (M. tenuiflora (Wild) Poiret) and jurema branca (P.stipulacea (Benth) Ducke), are native plants and occur widely in semi-arid surfaces of the Brazil. They’re used by local people and describe in the literature as forage, medicinal plants, energetic source, and other uses. This study aimed to carry out a phytochemical and microbiological study, as though determine some nutritional parameters of M. tenuiflora and P.stipulacea species. The assays were realized in the Laboratories of Chemical and Biological Science, of the Federal University of Campina Grande – UFCG, Patos- PB, Brazil, and in the Laboratory of Natural Products Research, of the Regional University of Cariri, Crato – CE, Brazil. After the collect of plants, these were orderly identified and preserved in collections deposited in the Dárdano de Andrade Lima Herbarium Caririensis, on the Regional University of Cariri, Crato – CE, Brazil. The material plant collected was dried, ground, weighed and conditioned in glass recipient until to be used. The samples were submitted to cold extraction using ethanol. The crude extracts were utilized to realize the phytochemical and antimicrobial avaliations. This was made using the well diffusion method in agar. To the nutritional parameters were determinated wordings of Dry Matter (DM), Mineral Matter (MM), Crude Protein (CD), Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF) and Crude Energy (CE).
