Abstract:
The modernization of electrical installation systems provides, among several points, a significant increase in market movement, as it appears as an alternative to supply the growing demand for electricity in the most diverse aspects, presenting the mechanization of new technologies, construction processes and implementation, to the electricity sector. However, the basic principle of safety in structures and projects is often not respected and, linked to this, the lack of knowledge of standards, mistakes or malpractices of professionals in the proper execution of projects for electrical installations and fire prevention and fighting, place jeopardizing the life of the entire community. For this reason, it is necessary to study the method of application of electrical panels aimed at controlling firefighting systems, dealing with the principles and ways of implementing this mechanism as a way of understanding and enabling improvements in technology. This work aims at a bibliographic review, describing the components and methodology that involves the use of electrical control panels for pumps and motors related to firefighting systems, as a way to optimize control and guarantee the safety of the population in establishments. The materials, standards and concepts that involve the use of electrical panels in such an application will be presented, in addition to exposing specifications on the installation of this device, as well as procedures that guarantee the functionality and effectiveness of the electrical panels.
