Resumo:
Quality management seeks to add quality services and products, considering not only the specifications and appearance, but also the reduced number of defects, short manufacturing time and process technology, thus enabling competitiveness and increased production. In any company, quality has become a mandatory requirement, since organizations that do not have standardization and continuous improvement cannot remain in the market. Thus, the present work aims to apply the DMAIC methodology in a commercial pharmaceutical company in order to improve its operational process and obtain greater efficiency in its services. In an applied research format, with a quali-quantitative approach, classified as documentary and case study, documents made available by the company were used, as well as open interviews were conducted with a manager of the administrative sector and also observations, with the processes carried out being monitored by the company to identify possible failures. After identifying the quality problems, as well as carrying out the analyzes and applying the DMAIC methodology adapted to the company's reality, it was possible to apply several quality tools, which enabled the understanding and definition of the established problem, the analysis, mapping, knowledge of the root cause and the creation of an action plan aimed at organizing the stock sector and redefining the roles of employees, thus achieving the objectives that were proposed.
