Abstract:
The Undergraduate Teaching Regulation is a legal device of the Universidade Federal de Campina
Grande that brings together the main rules that must be observed by the university community, within
the scope of graduation. This regulation exists on topics such as: the organization of undergraduate
courses and their curricular components; internship; ways of entering and selecting students;
academic procedures related to the students' bond; academic mobility; the use of studies; the
timetable; as learning estimates; academic documents, etc. However, not all students are familiar with
this regulation, or some have difficulty finding a specific topic, as it is an extensive document. In
addition, students with disabilities, such as visual impairment, also find it difficult to use the regulation.
Thinking about this problem, the work consisted of developing a chatbot, called RegBot, which will
allow the student to access information about the UFCG Graduation Teaching Regulation, in an easier,
agile and dynamic way, from the use of a language more accessible. Then, the chatbot was evaluated
by a sample of the academic community, based on an evaluation conversation, in order to achieve the
objective of the work.
