In the current context, the data on work accidents is alarming, which in a good part are related to failures in the basic fundamentals of Work Safety. Because, given the inappropriate use of PPE's in the work environment of the company where the work was carried out, the development of an intelligent device was originated, which aims at the mandatory use of Protective Equipment through the aggregation of the concept of Industry 4.0 which is directly linked to the concept of Internet of Things (IoT). Enabling the development of an Intelligent Protection Equipment (EPIN) for welding. It then demonstrates a research of exploratory experimental character and approach classified as qualitative. Therefore, it is shown that the system performed satisfactorily, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment in the coated electrode welding process. This underscores the importance of the initiative to improve its construction and safety processes in order to increasingly obtain better control over the health of employees.
