Resumo:
The experiment was carried out in the experimental field of the National
Center of Research of the Cotton of the Brazilian Company of Agricultural
Research in Barbalha-CE (07°18'39 "S; 39°23'39 "W; 415,7m) from August to
December 2001, with the objectives of evaluating the growth and development of
the irrigatea cotton cultivar BRS-201, with the objectives of evaluating the growth
and development of the irrigatea herbaceous cotton cultivar BRS-201 warder
conditions that soil and climate of Cariri, Ceara State and to establish the radiation
balance on the culture. The growth analysis was accomplished through the Foliar
Área Index, Rates of Absolute and Relative Growth and of the Culture, even of the
rate of liquid Assimilation; the radiation balance growth was established through
the of shot and long waves balance. Foliar Área Index reached a maximum it
value of 3,7, the Absolute Growth Rate reached 2,4 g/dia. The reflectireity of the
culture varied from 0.10 to 0.24. The solar radiation reached 1700w/m2, and on
this day the instantaneous radiation a maximum value balance was of
approximately equal of 800w/m2 , allowing a good growth and development of
culture. The final yield of culture was equal to 5.176 kg/ha"1.
