therapeutic drug monitoring. One hundred and sixteen patients were interviewed in
2 phases using standardized questionnaire and medical recorders analysis, aiming
to perform a profile of users. Eleven patients were blood collected to monitoring
drug. The patients were, mainly, children, female, first crisis at childhood and using
the phenobarbital as monotherapy. The main anticonvulsivant drug combination
was carbamazepine. The patients under monotherapy have more chance of
success in controlling seizures and it seems to be a protective factor for adverse
effects. The eleven blood collecting were analised by liquid chromatography. All
