Abstract:
The present work has as its theme the analysis of the normative matrix for the
protection of the homeless population in Brazil, with the aim of understanding how the
provision, implementation and care of protective policies for the specific population
occurs, given the assumptions of professional intervention of the social worker in the
attendance destined to this public. Appropriating the theoretical-methodological
framework that competes with the social worker profession and which refers to the
homeless population in Brazil, the general objective was to scrutinize the normative
composition of Brazil in the protection of the homeless population. In order to examine
federal legislation and its prerogatives. Due to the expropriation of rights linked to social
protection for the homeless population, it is necessary to understand how the
normative matrix of protection for the homeless person works in Brazil. The
methodology developed to analyze this purpose was based on bibliographical research
for the appropriation of the theoretical content, through a qualitative approach, taking
advantage of the descriptive method, to elucidate the administration of policies
redirected to the population is to understand how to succeed in the face of this
expression in the interventional project of the assistant social, concluding that there
are specific legislative parameters for the population that aim to meet their needs, but
that there is still a weakness in the provision.
