Resumo:
In process of English language teaching-learning, it is common for students to face challenges, such as lack of motivation. To overcome this obstacle, teachers must seek educational approaches that combine pleasure and learning, in order to facilitate the assimilation of contents. An effective strategy in this regard is the use of playful activities, which involve students in an engaging and stimulating way. In addition, the incorporation of digital technologies in English language teaching has shown to be a promising strategy. In this way, the Multiliteracy approach plays an important role in the development of communicative skills, as it recognizes the importance of approaching language in different modalities of communication, involving multiple languages and media. Based on these principles, this work aims to propose an activity in English that uses playfulness as a strategy for the development of communicative skills and vocabulary expansion through the Instagram platform. The adopted methodology consisted of a survey of bibliographic data, in order to theoretically base the proposal, having a qualitative and exploratory approach. The activity seeks to engage students through challenges and digital interactions, providing a stimulating and fun learning environment.
