Resumen:
Suicide is a social phenomenon that constitutes a serious public health problem. A
The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 800,000 people die
annually by suicide, one every 40 seconds. In this way, it makes suicide the second
cause of death among young people aged 15 to 29 years. It is speculated that, in 2020 with the restrictions
imposed by government agencies to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, these
numbers have increased. The study aims to characterize the profile of people who
attempted suicide during the early years of the pandemic. It is a cross-sectional analysis and
retrospective, with a quantitative approach. The scenario was a hospital inserted in a city
from the interior of Paraíba. The research was carried out using 14 SINAN notification forms.
Subsequently, they were evaluated and entered into the collection instrument. It can be concluded from this
study that young adults - predominantly female, white, single,
students and residents of the urban area is the predominant profile in suicide attempts in the
particular municipality. It is believed that studies of this nature offer elements
important to understand the perspectives of suicide attempts. You must evaluate the
implemented public policies, which seek to value the care practices that
promote social participation and mental health, including strengthening the promotion of
mental health and suicide prevention and actions to value life, in addition to seeking qualification
professional and social to carry out the notification and that it be carried out in a manner
complete by filling in all the items.
