Abstract:
he Education Program for Work in Health (PET-Health) Interprofessionality, established by
Interministerial Ordinance No. 421 of 2010, is among one of the successful policies in Brazil
aimed at reorienting health training and to stimulate experiences related to interdisciplinarity
issues guiding based on the concept of Interprofessional Education in Health (IPE). The
objective of this work was to present the conceptions of tutors and preceptors who are part of
PET-Saúde Interprofessionalidade, from the municipalities of Cuité and Nova Floresta, Paraíba,
regarding the approaches and challenges of interprofessional education in health and the
development of collaborative competences. This is an exploratory qualitative, cross-sectional
study, carried out with 16 preceptors and 9 tutors, members of the PET, totaling 25 participants
in the period from December 1 to 11, 2020. The results were presented and evaluated separately,
in the group of From preceptors, content emerged that originated the thematic classes
characterizing the experiences of the Education Program for Work for Health (PET-Health) and
the challenges for the implementation of interprofessionality. And in the group of tutors,
thematic classes were formed on the obstacles to the implementation of Interprofessional
Education (EIP) and Interprofessional Education for the training of students. In view of the
results, it was identified that the PET-Saúde Interprofessionality program is considered an
important strategy for the reorganization of training and health care in the SUS, mainly to
overcome challenges such as the deficit in the training of professionals who work in primary
health care , with experience of vertical experiences.
