The Covid-19 pandemic brought several challenges to education, and it is important to highlight the role of the teacher and his remote teaching methodology. The present work will discuss education in times of the covid-19 pandemic, challenges faced by the early childhood education teacher in various aspects. The general objective of the research is to understand the difficulties faced by the kindergarten teacher in the Covid-19 pandemic, in the municipality of Santa Helena-Paraíba, in the municipal school of early childhood education. The specific objectives are: 1) Research on the history of the Covid-19 pandemic; 2) Identify the main challenges faced by the teacher in the Covid-19 pandemic; 3) Observe the methodologies and strategies used by the teacher during the Covid-19 pandemic. The theoretical framework will first address a brief history of the Covid-19 pandemic from a bibliographical study, then present the challenges faced by teachers and the methodologies used by them in times of pandemic and remote teaching and the use of technologies. In this research, data collection will be done through a semi-structured interview. According to the data collected, I will opt for a qualitative approach, of a basic nature. Therefore, the teacher faced serious problems in this period of the pandemic, from lack of communication with students, lack of training to use digital tools, internet access, lack of resources. This generated a school loss for students who were unable to attend classes during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
