Résumé:
The disinfection of water is considered to be the main mechanism of destruction or disabling of pathogenic micro-organisms, to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases; one of the safe water disinfection processes is the use of UV radiation, since this operates through physical, getting in touch mainly with the nucleic acids of microorganisms causing alterations in DNA and RNA. On the foregoing, the present research aims to assess the effectiveness of germicidal lamps in the control of pathogenic microorganisms present in the water for industrial use. Three units built, consisting of PVC tubes, each containing in your interior a UVC germicidal lamp of power 15W, 20W and 30W they had support, adjustments made with tubes, reductions and short adapters. After the preparation of the treatment system, the contaminated water introduced in the same to be irradiated, for 15min and 30 min. Before and after this process of irradiation of the water, physical-chemical and microbiological analyses were carried out, to Assess the possible effects caused by irradiation. With the results obtained, by the physic-chemical analysis, before and after the water subjected to the treatment, it is possible to verify that it does not suffer significant changes in the physic-chemical parameters, as regards the results obtained for the Microbiological analyses. It turns out that only the treatment unit that presents the UVC lamp of 20w, in the irradiation time of 30min was efficient in disinfecting the water, since it eliminated both the bacteria of the total coliforms group and Escherichia coli, as the bacteria heterotrophic. It has being framed within the drinking values required by the Ministry of Health's consolidation N° V/2017, was not causing harm to health, and can be used both by the human being and by the agro, even after being subjected to doses of Radiation. In the face of the above, it is possible to conclude that the germicidal lamp that obtained better efficiency in the control of pathogenic microorganisms present in the water was the one that presents 20w power, operating in the 30min time of irradiation.
