The objective of the present work is to analyze the application of administrative practices in a small agroindustry, located in the backlands of Paraiba. These practices were presented in their theoretical framework in a systematized way in the PDCA cycle (planning, organization, direction and control), thus, within a process of continuous improvement, practices such as: definition of objectives and goals, communication, departmentalization , training, feedback, leadership, hierarchy, interpersonal relationships in the work environment, organization chart, teamwork and division of tasks, conditioning strategies that involve the management model. As for the methodological aspects, we sought to develop a research with 25 questions, where the first five addressed the socio-demographic profile of the respondent and the other 20 assertions raised questions about the subject matter. After the measurement of the data, it is possible to measure and identify that the administrative practices are used in the agroindustry to assist the managers in the development of their activities. It was also suggested the creation of a Human Resources department to meet the needs of this sector and it was possible to perceive as to the management model that does not exist the ideal, but rather the one that best fits the reality of the organization at that particular time.
