Resumen:
Given the importance of a good doctor-patient relationship, this study intends
to qualitatively analyze patients’ impressions in their first consultation at the
outpatient clinics of the General University Clinic of the University Hospital Alcides
Carneiro, linked to the Federal University of Campina Grande - PB. A total of 20
patients were evaluated, which reflect the population of the Unified Health System,
evidenced by the socioeconomic questionnaire. The client's satisfaction was also
analyzed by means of essay questions about the physician-patient relationship,
consultation time, achievement and quality of the physical examination,
understanding of the consultation and evaluation of the medical prescription.
Serving to show us that medicine has become more humanized, despite the
difficulties imposed by the lack of structure and resources. The study also
evidenced, as proposed by most of the articles studied, that medicine is increasingly
turning to the individual as a whole, seeking to intensify the power of communication
between professional and patient, in order to achieve the best possible
understanding about consultation, diagnosis and treatment to be performed.
