Résumé:
The rubber tree (Spondias purpurea) is a plant native to Central America, but developed
excellent adaptive conditions in some regions of South America, proving to be a fruit tree
resistant to periods of drought. This research aimed to evaluate the productivity of the seriguela
crop in the third year of cultivation, which started on October 20, 2022, being propagated by
the cutting method with cuttings of shorter length, in addition to verifying the existing
correlation between the stem diameter and started on October 20, 2022, being propagated by
the cutting method with cuttings of shorter length, in addition to verifying the existing
correlation between the stem diameter and number of branches with the productivity of the
species, also recording the occurrence of insect pests and diseases. The experimental area is
located in the municipality of Jaçanã in Rio Grande do Norte, located in the following areas:
geographical coordinates: 06º25'33'' S and 36º12'18" W, on the rural property Chã da
Bolandeira, Jaçanã - RN. The experiment was in randomized blocks with five treatments
nicknamed T1 - 0.8 m; T2 - 1.0 m; T3 - 1.2 m; T4 - 1.4 m and T5 - 1.6 m. The variables analyzed
were stem diameter, number of secondary branches and fruit production. The data collected
were submitted to analysis of variance and means compared by the Tukey test to 5% probability,
through the computational application Sisvar version 5.6. From the analysis of the obtained
data, it was verified that the plants continue to progress and obtain satisfactory performance for
still young plants. In this way, as in previous years, the stakes of T4 – 1.4 m and T5 – 1.6 m
continue to have the best results among the analyzed variables. The obtained results in the third
year of cultivation demonstrate that the productivity of the culture of Spondias purpurea L.
tends to be better every year and that the length of the cuttings has been proving to be important
in the process of full establishment of culture. It was found through the correlation analysis that
the size of the stem diameter showed a positive correlation with the productivity, as well as the
number of secondary branches of the plants, represented that there is a direct relationship with
productivity.
