Résumé:
The research deals with the articulation between the teaching of Mathematics and the production of honey in a field school. To understand the theme, we sought answers to the research questions: what honey production practices are developed in a rural school? What mathematical contents can be studied in practices with honey production? The general objective of the investigation was to understand the practices of honey production, with a view to establishing relationships with the mathematical content studied at the school, followed by the specific objectives: (i) to identify the practices developed with the production of honey at the participating school; (ii) identify the mathematical contents studied in honey production practices. The study was carried out with the participation of 1 teacher who works in a field school in the municipality of Sumé, in the Cariri region of Paraíba. Data were produced through a questionnaire sent by e-mail. The results indicate that students are interested in participating in activities with honey production and that activities are carried out collectively with the participation of teachers from different areas. The study opens up possibilities for studying mathematical content from honey production, as well as highlighting the importance of intensifying the debate on living with the Semi-Arid region in mathematics classes.
