Résumé:
The present study aims to investigate the main psychological and physical implications on the
development of children in situations of armed conflict cited in academic-scientific productions
of the last twenty years (2002-2022). A search was carried out on Google Scholar, ScIELO and
LILACS databases using the descriptors: “war AND childhood AND development”. This
integrative literature review made it possible to identify that the context of violence, social
vulnerability and environmental precariousness in periods of war are risk factors for child
development. Although the physical impacts are equally worrisome, the literature indicates a
higher prevalence of psychological consequences in children who experience periods of war.
