Revenge pornography is considered a crime marked by public exposure of intimate photos or
videos of a particular person on the Internet. This work aims to review the scientific literature
about the psychological consequences of revenge pornography on women. This is an integrative
literature review, carried out between February and March 2023, in the Virtual Health Library
(VHL), in the Lilacs, Pubmed, Google Scholar and Periodic Portal of Capes databases. The
following inclusion criteria were adopted: works that contemplate the psychological
consequences of revenge pornography in women victims of this violence; published between
the years 2016 and 2020; available in full for online access and written in Portuguese and
English. Theses, dissertations, book chapters and reviews were excluded; that did not present
the content in full in the databases; publications prior to 2016 and in duplicate. After using the
inclusion and exclusion criteria, 07 articles were selected. For the conclusion of this research,
the following steps were described and concluded: 1. elaboration of the research problem; 2.
search or initiation in the literature; 3. data collection; 4. critical analysis of the included studies;
5. discussion of the results; and 6. presentation of the integrative review. It was observed that
the debate about revenge pornography and the psychological repercussions on women is
current, but still very incipient. A very scarce production was perceived with regard, above all,
to the psychological repercussions of this violence in the lives of victimized women. The sad
results that revenge pornography is a crime, which is linked to moral and sexual violence,
having several consequences for the victims, such as the impact on physiological health,
emotional balance, triggering job change, intense suffering of the victim and your family, which
can lead to suicidal thoughts. It is concluded that revenge pornography is associated in a gender
perspective, presenting an irreversible impact and that it provides several psychological
consequences for the victims, requiring attention from health professionals, especially
