Resumo:
Protected Areas (PAs) play a fundamental role in the protection and preservation of ecosystems
and biodiversity at a global level. These natural areas are established and managed with the
goal of conserving natural resources, promoting sustainability, and bringing benefits to both
local communities and humanity as a whole. In this context, the present study aimed to conduct
an Integrative Review of the research and studies conducted in the field of Biological Sciences
at the Horto Florestal Olho D'água da Bica, from 2010 to 202. Data collection was performed
using research platforms such as Google Scholar and the Digital Library of Theses and
Dissertations from UFCG. The data were analyzed and organized using tables and graphs, for
better organization and understanding of the data, using platforms such as Word and Excel,
respectively. The obtained results confirmed the importance of a Protected Area for higher
education and scientific initiation. A total of 47 scientific works were found, produced at the
Horto Florestal Olho D'água da Bica, covering various research areas. Noteworthy areas include
Zoology, Botany, Environmental Education, Ecology, and Genetics. These results highlight the
role played by the Horto Florestal Olho D'água da Bica as a conducive environment for
conducting scientific studies in the field of Biological Sciences. Additionally, they demonstrate
the diversity of research areas developed in this location, contributing to the advancement of
knowledge and biodiversity preservation. The research demonstrated that the Horto Florestal
Olho D'água da Bica is an important source of scientific production in the field of Biological
Sciences. The works found encompass a variety of topics, reflecting the relevance of the
location for academic development and the promotion of environmental conservation.
