Abstract:
It is important to use tools that help in the construction of knowledge, aiming at citizenship, educational and professional training, both at School and at the University. Bringing these institutions closer contributes to the sharing of ideas and knowledge. This work discusses the importance of the Laoratório de Geografia Física (LABOGEO) of the Centro de Formação de Professores, Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (CFP/UFCG) as a space for building knowledge and integrating link between academic and school knowledge. For that, we used as a methodology the application and evaluation of two questionnaires, which allowed the analysis of the didactic potential of the Laboratório de Geografia Fisica. With the first questionnaire we had the objective of understanding part of the previous experiences of the students of the EEEF Dom Moisés Coelho, Cajazeiras-PB. With the second, the aim is to compare ideas with the first questionnaire and, consequently, evaluate the knowledge built during the visit to LABOGEO. The methodology used is qualitative, as a result of the analysis of the arguments put forward by students in the 1st year of high school. The research took place between December 2022 and June 2023. We used graphs in order to spatialize the categories identified in the questionnaire responses. The discussion is centered on the University-School relationship, on the construction of knowledge of natural physical components, on laboratories as a tool in the construction of knowledge, and on the importance of school Geography. The questionnaires yielded numerous evaluative contributions about the Laboratory as a teaching tool and brought discussions about understanding and the importance of studying the natural physical components of geographic space, raising environmental and social discussions.
