Resumo:
The present work focuses on the analysis of the general training of teachers of primary education after the period of Brazilian re-democratization. At the same time, I discussed access to higher education, seen as an old and current challenge. The primary focus of this research is the individuals originating from rural backgrounds and their experiences during their undergraduate studies, and the central idea is to give visibility to the history of the academic formation of this demographic. This study aims to analyze the formative process of teachers within this context by examining their lived experiences of teaching in rural and urban settings up until the completion of their undergraduate education. This research is based on a strong theoretical basis with the contributions of Gatti & Barreto (2009), Scheibe & Bazzo (2016), Copatti & Andreis (2020) Carvalho (2006), Arroyo (2007), and other writers. The study employed a descriptive and exploratory research approach during the field investigation, which had as the locus the town of São José de Caiana-PB. One of my motivations for exploring this topic stems from my experience as a student in a public school in a rural area and the challenges these learners face when they go to an urban school and university.
