Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos: a dessacralização do patrimônio histórico de Sousa-PB (1999-2009).

Abstract

This monograph aims to carry out a historical analysis about the importance of preserving sacred heritage, showing the difficulties in the tipping and restoration processes that have as their main desire to protect memories left by characters silenced by traditional historiography, making visible the historical importance present in the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos Church built in the 18th century in the city of Sousa - PB. We emphasize the importance of public policy aimed at the adequate preservation of the sacred heritage, preventing this church from continuing to be the target of the desacralization of the Historical Heritage.
