Resumo:
The interest in water gas shift reaction has increased significantly in recent years due to considerable
production of purified hydrogen for fuel cell power systems. The of this work is to evaluate the influence of
fuels, such as, monohydrated citric acid, aniline, carbohidrazina, oxalic acid dihydrazine, glycine and urea in
the preparation of catalysts based on the ferrites by reaction of combustion, also to evaluate the performance
of these catalysts in the process of water gas shift reaction (WGRS).The powders obtained by combustion
reaction were submitted to analysis of X-ray diffraction, textural analysis by adsorption of N2 and MEV. The
results show the presence of the major phase of Ni0,5Zn0,5Fe2O3 for all compositions studied. The composition
F-M-G presented a shorter extension of the peaks, consequently larger crystallites (41nm). The powder
obtained with urea (F-M-U) showed the highest value of surface area (66,94m2/g), as a result of smaller
particle diameter.
