Resumen:
This work deals with a comparative study of Portland cement concretes made with conventional aggregates (granite gravel) and other unconventional ones such as rolled pebbles, laterite concretions and limestone. 05 mixtures were defined to obtain various resistance bands that encompass most of the structures currently used in engineering works. The obtained results allowed to conclude that the concrete using the rolled pebble studied as large aggregate presented the same and, sometimes, even better performance in relation to the concrete using grit granite. In the case of concretes using laterite concretions and limestone in the confection of concrete of Portland cement, its performance was close to conventional concrete, suggesting its applications with safety in small engineering works.
