Resumo:
This Course Completion Work (TCC) sought to understand the challenges faced by
parents, teachers and students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) of elementary
school II, which covers the 6th to 9th grades, to know how teaching and the inclusion
of these students in schools. The methodology used for the results was qualitative and
quantitative, with the application of questionnaires, which established two categories:
“conceptions of potentialities and challenges of teachers” and “conceptions of
potentialities and challenges of parents”. This study concluded that even without
professionals having a qualification or specialization aimed at this target audience, they
manage to have a good experience and a significant permanence in the classroom. It
was also possible to verify that TEA students have the help of their parents as well as
their participation in the school environment.
