Abstract:
This paper aims to study the losses in switches of three types of ac-ac converter, with focus on minimized component structures. The proposed topologies allow single-phase to three-phase electrical system power conversion for supply three-phase four wire load without the capacitor dc-bus mid-point connection. A compared study of switches losses at each converter is done to verify wich structure offers the most efficiency of the power conversion system. The overall control strategy for providing dc-bus voltage, power factor control and PWM generation are presented. Simulations results illustrate the performance of converters.
