Résumé:
The construction sector presents high competitiveness, and increasingly demanding
consumers. The sector still suffers from the deficiency of planning and control of its
works, where it is mostly done informally. Planning makes it possible to organize the
services of a work, facilitating the analysis of unforeseen events and favoring less
costly and skillful solutions. The present work aimed to elaborate a planning of a work
in the city of Pombal-PB, through the collection of data of projects and budgets of the
renovation work of the Francisco Pereira Vieira Stadium, in that city. These data served
as the basis for the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), with all
services decomposed to a level considered adequate by the author of this work. When
created, the WBS was inserted into the MS Project software. Then, the durations of
the activities were calculated and measured through the analysis of the analytical
budget and experience of the technical responsible for the work. Subsequently, the
predecessor activities were defined. With this data, it was possible to generate the
network diagram and the critical path, Gantt chart and S-curve of services. With the
analyses made, it was possible to identify gaps in the schedule, association with cost,
project evolution and possible ways of optimizing execution. In addition, the work
evidenced the usefulness and practicality of the MS Project software in the planning
and control of works, since it has both graphical tools and spreadsheets, providing the
manager with a broader view during the monitoring, increasing the efficiency of the
works.
