Abstract:
This work aimed to study and evaluate the performance of saline solutions of ionic transport through
electrodialytical membranes flat and a bed of ion exchange resin. It was used for this study a electrodialytical
system and a column of resin mixed. The tests were made considering the electrical conductivity, density of
current and the physical-chemical analysis of the feed solution and product output. The results showed that
the variation of electrical conductivity of the product and the concentrate depends on the initial concentration
of the solution. The density of current for all cases has increased its value as a function of concentration. The
variation of pH of the product and concentrate the solution depends on the concentration of power, the
speed of the solution inside the reactor and consequently the potential applied during the process. The
cleaning with deionized water after each batch held prevents fouling.
