Abstract

The objective of this work is to introduce a method to propose corrective technical measure to spinning and wearing industries in Campina Grande through . the analysis of work accidents. Such, a method of investigation is summarized under the fol.Lowing stages: - Identification of sector and process of fabrication where a high rate of accidents take place.. - Identification and analysis of their causes and finally, - A proposition of techinical measures perceined to minimize this problem. The selection of textile sector for the analysis of work accidents is justified for its socio-economic importance to the municipality , as cited above, for whole of the state, of Paraíba, The dimension of problem of work accidents in the country, like in this state and in whole of the municipality of Campina Grande, specially in its textil e sector, may be verified through the extracted data together with some specialized sources. After the identification of critical sector and of the responsible agent by higher index of work accidents , a technical analysis of such, a sector is accomplished.Also the detailed mechanism of an identified machine is described together with its elements or parts which mainly cause accidents. From the collected data and statistics of main causes of these accidents, the principal types, of mechanical faults and those of maintenance, responsible for these events are identified , and their relation with, the type of adopted maintenance applied to the machine having replacements, are also identified. In the final chapter, various alternativas are introduced to minimize this problem, in particular those which area better suited to the real situation and are in accordance with, adequate and established criteria.
