The exhaustion of reserves of oils, the heavy-oil has been given an important role in the generation of
energy. Several researchers have been devoted to studies on the feasibility and economic exploitation
of these reserves. The recovery method by water injection is one of the most widely used techniques
for recovery and may employ different arrangements of injection and production wells. The purpose of
this study is to evaluate numerically, by ANSYS CFX, the process of recovering heavy-oil in a porous
media using a model of injection of five-spot. We are used the equations of conservation of mass and
movement together with the law of Darcy. It was also considered the model for the particle flow
biphasic water-heavy oil in porous media. Was used a uniform distribution for porosity and
permeability. The results of the front of advance of water (volume fraction) toward the well from
producing wells injectors are presented and analyzed.
