Resumo:
The objective of the present work is the extration of the celulase enzyme of the cashew bagasse in
natura for its application in hydrolysis of the palm as cellulose source. The production of bioethanol
using lignocelulósic biomass, in general, consists of three stages of operations: pre-treatment to
separate cellulose and lignin, transformation of the cellulose in glucose for enzymatic or acid
hydrolysis and alcoholic fermentation. For the stage of enzymatic hydrolysis of the cellulose celulase
is used. The extration of celulase is influenced by factors such as: agitation, pH, temperature, ionic
force of the medium, extraction time etc. In the present work the effect of variation of pH of the
medium has been verified. After the extration of celulase the activity of the extract has been evaluated
using the method of analysis of reducing sugars produced from the filter paper celulose. It was
observed that the catalytic activity increased with the increase in the amount of filter paper used. The
enzymatic hydrolysis of forrageira Palm using the cashew bagasse extract is favorable.The physicochemical
characterization (pH, apparent density, humidity, ºBrix-soluble solids and reducing sugars) of
cashew bagasse and the forrageira palm was carried out.
