Resumen:
Classical differential geometry studies the geometrical properties of plane and spatial curves and
surfaces using the techniques from linear algebra, calculus, analyses and topology, among others. These
geometrical properties may be local, i. e, in the neighborhood of a point, or global, when the object of study
is considered as a whole.
Differential geometry has important applications in various areas of science and engineering like the
theory of elasticity, relativity theory, graphic computation and imaging processing, for example.
In our work we study some intrinsic properties of surfaces through the techniques of analysis and linear
algebra.
