Resumo:
The goal of this work is to study the bore observed in October 20th, 2006 registered by an all -sky imager
and a multi-channel photometer. Wind data between 80 and 100km of altitude observed by a meteor radar
and temperature data obtained by the satellite TIMED - SABER on that day were also included in this work.
The site of observation was São João do Cariri (7°23'S; 35°52'W). The bore appeared at the West side at
22:58 local time and passed by the zenith region at 23:11 Local Time. There was an increase of ~50% on
OH(6,2) intensity while the bore passed by the zenith region, however any significant variation was not
registered on OI5577 intensity. The wind, on the other hand, showed a very strong variation to southward of
21.7 m/s/h around midnight and the bore had a speed of phase of 46.8 ± 0.8 m/s, observation period 12.2 ±
1.4 mim and the direction of propagation 63.4° ± 1.8, the profile of number of vertical wave (m2) it showed
that the bore has a duct that down the layer of OH(6,2).
