dc.description.resumo	Este trabalho teve como objetivo obter os campos médios mensais da água precipitável e os campos mensais de anomalia de água precipitável para o ano de 2008. Estes campos foram obtidos com o uso do software GrADS, utilizando dados de reanálises do NCEP/NCAR. As anomalias foram obtidas pela diferença entre a água precipitável do mês e a média climatológica no período de 1958 a 2009. Este tipo de informação é de grande aplicabilidade no sensoriamento remoto ambiental para correções atmosféricas, na modelagem do balanço de radiação solar e terrestre, na quantificação da energia interceptada pelo vapor d’água na atmosfera, na avaliação da disponibilidade de energia solar à superfície, na avaliação de fluxos de calor latente e sensível à superfície e na própria reciclagem d’água. Os resultados revelam aspectos importantes da circulação geral da atmosfera e da atuação de sistemas meteorológicos na América do Sul.	pt_BR

dc.description.abstract	This study aimed to obtain the monthly mean fields of precipitable water and monthly fields of anomaly precipitable water for the year 2008. These fields were obtained using the software GRADS, using reanalysis data from NCEP/NCAR. The anomalies were obtained by the difference between precipitable water of the month and the climatological average for the period 1958 to 2009.This type of information has great applicability in environmental remote sensing to atmospheric correction, modeling the balance of solar radiation and land in the amount of energy intercepted by the water vapor in the atmosphere, in the assessing the availability of solar energy to the surface in evaluation of heat flows latent and sensible to the surface and in the recycling of water. The results reveal important aspects of the general circulation of the atmosphere and the action of weather systems in South America.	pt_BR
