This work has the aim of promoting a social and economic impact in the development of diverse studies in
other regions and other medicinal plants in different environments, promoting ethical and environmentally
effective control parasitic skin diseases, from phytotherapy. Based on the potential of botanical Caatinga
used two plants which are richly found in our region: the Aspidosperma pyrifolium Mart. (Pereiro) and
Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan (Angico), used as an alternative and sustainable, in an attempt to
control the action of ectoparasites in goats thereby reducing the economic losses brought to producers. We
used the dried bark of the plants to produce dyes separately for each 500g of the powder of the bark of
Pereiro or Angico, arises 1L of ethyl alcohol. After 24 hours at rest, is the application of alcoolatura obtained
in naturally infected animals. Producers registered in the city of Passagem - PB, two animals showed
chewing lice infested, the infestation is influenced by seasonality, being higher during the dry period. The
dyes don’t possess no adverse effect, are of easy applicability for the agricultural producers and they
possess action against ectoparasites of the Bovícola caprae species. favoring its use.
