Abstract:
This work aims to investigate the use and importance of new technologies in teaching geography, considering the current educational context (2023) and the need to adapt to the demands of an increasingly technological and informational society. This monograph is necessary since in the contemporary world, fast and easy access to information through the internet and technological devices has transformed the way people interact, communicate and acquire knowledge. In this sense, the teaching of geography also needs to keep up with these changes and incorporate new technologies as relevant pedagogical resources. Given this context, this work, through bibliographical research, sought to analyze documents and studies related to the proposed theme, in addition, we tried to identify its positive impacts, challenges and possibilities. Through a methodological approach based on a bibliographic review, the main trends and pedagogical practices that use new technologies in the teaching-learning of geography were explored. Thus, from these analyzes it was possible to understand that, although it is a challenge, the incorporation of these tools in the educational process is fundamental, in view of the demands of the contemporary world.
