Abstract:
Maze (Zea mays) is one of the most importante cultures in the world, producing a billion of tons every year. In Brazil, the maze is an estrategic culture to the economy, being the second most cultivated area in the country, and in that way, Brazil is the third biggest produtor of maze in the world. The development of this culture in the Northeast region have been meaningly increasing in the last years due to elaboration and applications of new inputs and machines in the modern agriculture. The objective of this research was to evaluate the application of different doses of Trichoderma harzianum on the develepment of maze at the Cariri Paraibano. The sowing of the culture were made manualy, after the preparation of the area of experimentation. During the vegetative state of the maze, three evaluations were made in the vegetative growth to the beggining of the reproductive state. Were evaluated 5 plants to each trial plots of the treatments (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200ml), finishing with the total amount of 100 evaluated plants. The experimental design utilized was the randomized block design (RBD). After the data analysis of variance, was made the regression analysis with significance by the F test (p≤0,05). The obtained results showed an index of 95% of germination at the 200ml application, to the plant height, both doses of 100 and 200 ml had an average of 1,60 m, the stem diameters variables, numbers of leaves and leaf area showed that the 100ml treatment was the most.
