Qualidade fisiológica das sementes de amendoim tratadas com extratos vegetais.

Abstract

The deterioration of seeds through germination tests is important in the evaluation of the physiological quality, contributing in the solution of the seeds industry problems, as the storage. Thus, the present work was carried out with the objective to evaluate the physiological quality of the peanut seeds, variety BR1, treated with vegetal extracts and stored in two types of packings. For beginning of the works, the variety was characterized regarding to the humidity content and germination. The seeds were submitted to a treatment using 10 mL of extracts of neem and kingdom pepper for each 300 g of seeds, in the doses of 0, 10, 40, 70 and 100 mL. After that the seeds were dried at ambient temperature for a period of 24 h on sheets of newspaper. Later on the seeds of each lot were conditioned in pet and polyethylene packings and stored for a period of 90 days. For the variance analysis the randomized experimental design was used in factorial scheme 5 x 2 x 3 with 4 repetitions. The seeds treated with the extract of neem presented the germination percentages better than the ones treated with kingdom pepper extract.
