Resumen:
To develop and validate a booklet-type educational technology to guide nursing
professionals about the humanization of care for newborns in neonatal care units. Material and
Method: This is a methodological development research, which consisted of the formulation
and validation of a booklet, carried out through the following steps: integrative literature
review, construction of the booklet, validation of content and semantics of the booklet. The
study was developed in an electronic environment, with national coverage. For the validation
of the booklet, 13 expert judges from the health area and 5 from other areas participated. The
collection was carried out from April to May 2023, using adapted validated instruments. Data
analysis was performed in SPSS, version 21.0. In order to analyze the responses of expert judges
in the field of health and other areas, the Content Validity Index and the SAM score were used,
respectively. Results: The overall CVI of the booklet was 0.91, higher than the minimum
required of 0.70 and 80% of judges from other areas judged the booklet as valid. The booklet
has 35 pages, divided into 3 chapters, addressing light technologies for humanized care, comfort
strategies and neonatal pain relief and nursing care for parents of hospitalized newborns.
Conclusions: Revisions were carried out, according to the judges' suggestions, in order to
optimize the booklet. It is expected that this material will positively add to the improvement of
humanized nursing care for hospitalized newborns, thus becoming a means of consultation,
based on scientific evidence.
