Abstract:
The aim of this study was evaluate changes in some soil chemical properties in function of the management
systems and the impacts of burning to the soil properties. The studied areas were: pastures and cultivated
with burnied maize, natural pastures and caatinga forest. The investigation was based on bimonthly, from
September/2008 to July/2009. Soil samples were collected in the depths 0-20 cm in each área (treatment)
for analysis. Organisms of macrofauna were sampled with "Provid" traps and soil samples with preserved
structure to mesofauna characterize. The higher number of mesofauna individues were collected in the
