wood, medicine caretaker, ornamental plant, forest restoration, system agroflorestais, melífera, fodder plants
among others. This work objectified to determine pointers of the physiological maturation of Amburana
cearensis. In August of 2008 they had initiated the collections of the fruits in the city of Malta - PB and lead to
the Laboratory of Seeds of the Federal University of Campina Grande. In each harvest they had been
evaluated: coloration of the fruit, humidity, cool mass, dry mass, spoiled seeds, germination of the seeds e
percentage of plântulas normal and abnormal. The experimental delineation was entirely casualizado with
four repetitions of 25 seeds. The gotten results had allowed to evidence that, in the fifth week, before the
dehiscence (22/09), the fruits presented themselves with dark and wrinkled brown apex, and the black seeds
with coloration. They had been registered in this point, texts of water of 49% for fruits and seeds,
respectively. Seeds submitted to the germination test on sand, 250C, under constant light, had presented
taxes of germination (emission of hipocotyle) of 94%; abnormal 3% of plantlets and 1% of seeds deceased.
The beginning of the dehiscence and the accented change more of coloration of the fruits had revealed as
good pointers of the harvest point.
