Resumo:
People Management in Public Administration has faced major transformations,
mainly with the advent of Managerial Administration, which adopts a
results-oriented strategy. The quest for strategic management of
people in organizations aims to improve and involve
employees to achieve efficiency in the provision of services. Although there are many
studies on this subject in the private sector, it is still little studied in Public Administration.
Considering the importance of the theme, this research had as general objective to analyze the
international production on the Strategic Management of People in Public Administration. O
chosen method is characterized as a bibliometric analysis with the application of a
exploratory research carried out in the Web of Science database. A population was analyzed
of 177 articles and a sample of 99. The first publication on the subject was in 1984
and the scenario since then is one of variability. Citation analysis showed an increase
accelerated increase in the number of references to these works, mainly from 2017 onwards,
reaching its peak in the year 2022. It was noted that the theme of Strategic People Management in the
Public Administration is still under development and it is hoped that this work can
subsidize future studies on the subject, contributing to its evolution.
